Fruit Tart

Making fruit tart is not so difficult, but to find the best custard filling is like a love-hate relationship for me.. Mmg I'm still searching for the best custard filling recipe up until now. Tapi biasanya I will mix the custard flour with fresh milk and sugar. So far, OK. As for the fruits, I've tried strawberry, kiwi, peaches, pineapple and grapes. One of my friends use the canned fruit cocktail. Cuma rasanya, grapes somehow akan cepat rosak and kiwi yg masam pulak will spoil the taste. But, hubby loves the fruit tart that I made ;) So, for now enjoy the pics and when I'm comfortable enough with the taste of my fruit tart, I will post the recipe in the future k ;)

Cheese Tart

Salah satu pencetus yang membuatkan saya nak start baking semula ialah somewhere in 2009 I discovered Raihanna's blog; http://raihannavanilla.blogspot.com/ blog ni share recipe yg sangat banyak! One of d recipes that I tried was Brownie Cheesecake Kukus. From her blog, I found another link to Blueberry Cheese Tart. Bila try both recipes menjadi, rasa happy and semangat nak membaking datang berkobar2 ;)

At that time, dekat kedai Parit Buntar & Bagan Serai ada dua kedai je yg jual bakery ingredients. And both of the kedai x jual filling lagi. Tapi semangat punya pasal, beli jugaklah blueberry jam and managed to try it out. Kawan2 plak ckp tart sedap so from there tanya orang2 dekat situ so barulah tau ada bakery shop in Nibong Tebal yg jual barang2 bakery yang banyak. Although it took me about 30 mins drive nak pergi situ, semangat punya pasal sanggup je. ALhamdulillah, Aleesya yg at that time umur setahun lebih x kacau sangat each time I wanna bake something. And paling penting, she appreciates eveything that I bake.

Daripada x reti buat pattern filling, then google tgk mcm mana org lukis pattern atas tart, sampailah sekarang I'm still in d process of learning to bake something good for hubby n my 2 kids. And to Raihanna, I hope one day you will read this and I hope u know that I'm glad I found your blog ;) Betullah kata orang2 tua, pengikat kasih sayang adalah melalui perut esp makanan yg kita sendiri masak ;)

1st time buat takde filling jem pun jadi ;)

Classic Cheese Cake

A friend of mine, Nur Shaminah Mustafa Kamalu was the one who gave me this recipe. The first time she baked this cheese cake back in MARJON, Plymouth, my hubby fell in love with the taste of this cake and urged me to learn from her.

However, only somewhere in 2009 that I finally baked this cake after I've settled down in Parit Buntar and hubby bought me an oven and a stand mixer. Basically this cheese cake has made me started to bake again and haven't stop ever since. I need to make sure that I will bake this cake at least once in a fortnight since hubby love it so much!

Today, I'm going to share this recipe with all of u. I hope u will find your own way to win your loved ones tummy ;) I did- thanks to this cheesecake. Lawak my hubby yang tak berapa nak lawak would be; " Andai ditakdirkan I kahwin lain in d future, I tetap kerap balik tgk u sebab u akan buat cheesecake yg i suka ;b

Continental Cakes

Recently, everyone is talking about Russian Black & White cake.. tgk design mmg cantik tp curious juga mcm mana dpt pattern mcm tu.. Mmg ada a few bakers in Sungai Petani yang boleh buat kek tu but this time i decided to join continental cakes class with Kak Yati krazycakes ( http://krazycakes-yaty.blogspot.com/ ) since dia antara yg experience dlm baking industry ni.

After browsing her blog, I decided to sign up for 3 classes; Russian Black & White, Tiramisu, & Chocolate Banana Cheese cake. So all in all rasa happy because now I can bake my own Secret Recipe cakes instead of going there n feeling frustrated sbb asyik dapat kek yang dah kering ( 2 bad experience in SR CS ).

My conclusion is going to classes helps us to get d technique better. Yelah, all these while I've been baking through recipes from d net n books. Mmg ada yg OK tapi ada juga yg bnyk bahan terbuang ;b Betullah kata org tua2 berguru dgn cikgu ni lagi berkat ;) So do enjoy d pictures n hopefully in one year's time i will be a better baker ;)

Azam 2012

All these while I've been baking through guidelines from books and internet. At times it turns out to be OK and some other times lots of pembaziran on d tepung and telur and gula etc. 2012 I got transferred to Sungai Petani, nearer to my hubby. However, since he's always busy I've compromised with him to let my Azam 2012 untuk join as many baking classes as possible. All i need is his blessing ( and also some duit untuk join d personal classes ;b ). Anyway I was lucky that i surfed Mudah.my and discovered that Kak Zu (http://myhappycuppies.blogspot.com/) is organising classes on decorating cakes etc. Plus bonus it's in Bandar Puteri Jaya, 5 minutes from my residence.

Daripada terkial-kial nak crumb coat d cake, getting comot while inserting the buttercream into the piping bag and making roses using the nail I can say that making cheese cake is a LOT easier but the experience is worth it!

Sangat happy when hubby said ; cantik plak you buat, selalu kek huduh je ( yup, my hubby can be very direct ) anyways i am now so looking forward to attend more classes on baking stuffs. At least it puts away my mind off things. So for now lets enjoy d pictures and DelicateBaker will surely be back with more new experience to share in the near future ;)
